45% of Registered Voters Want Healthcare Reform Repealed
COLUMBUS, OH – (MARKET WIRE) – 5/18/10 – 55.8% of Americans are somewhat/very concerned that the financial problems in Greece and the instability with the Euro will trigger more financial fallout for America, according to the latest American Pulse™ survey of 5,130 Americans. 16.8% aren’t very concerned or not at all concerned (27.4% are neutral).
Anxiety over global markets and their effect on the U.S. market can’t be good for candidates seeking re-election come November because Americans appear to have little-to-no confidence regarding the current government’s economic policies.

Another issue that is sure to be fiercely contested this fall is healthcare reform and if 44.7% of registered voters get their way, it will be repealed. Interestingly, 20.4% of Democrats support revoking the law.

Further, 59.9% of registered voters believe Americans should get their healthcare from their employer, versus 20% who say they should get it from the government.
Key findings:
• 43.8% say judicial experience is important for Supreme Court Justices to have…34.8% think not and that diverse legal backgrounds are good for the Court.
• 40.1% say the Obama Administration isn’t doing enough to protect Americans from terrorist attacks; 29.2% say it is.
• 42.8% say the Administration didn’t act soon enough regarding the Gulf Coast oil spill; 22.8% say it did.
